Blog Update

If you look at the the navigation bar at the top of the page (under the banner) you will see that I have added a new page “My Artwork”.

It has a lot of my drawings, digital work, and paintings that I have done in the past few years. At some point I will add a photography section as well.

Figure Drawing Thus Far: Updated

So here are some of my pieces from my figure drawing class which I am really loving. I still have a couple of weeks left, but I thought I should post what I have. I am only putting up some of the longer poses, maybe another time I will post some of the shorter exercises – I like some of those a lot more than some of these.

Update: SO the gallery deleted itself, I added it again. Let me know if there are still issues

Pixar Parody

This, is the best thing ever. It is a hilarious dark parody of the Pixar intro.

Snow!

It snowed today! Yes, for a grand total of 3 minutes. And it was only slight flurries. But it was beautiful.

It was during philosophy, and my teacher stopped the class to point it out. This is the same professor that always wears at least 2 sweaters and takes them off only as he becomes comfortable in whatever room he is in. I have only once seen him get all the way down to a t-shirt. Today he was about to take off the 2nd sweater (it looked like there were 3 or so shirts under it though) and once it was halfway off he went “Oops!” and preceded to put it back on.

I guess that does not seem as significant or funny if you don’t know him. But I told this to everyone I know who has had a class with him and they all were laughing hysterically, everyone else looked confused as to why it was so funny. Regardless, he is an amazing professor, an insomniac, always has a bottle of flavored seltzer water, and it is universally agreed that he is a teddy bear and needs a hug.

Now if only it would actually snow. But alas I need to go back to work, Population Genetic Structure here I come.

An Upcoming Hiatus

Well basically for the next 3 weeks all I will be doing is homework and hopefully sleeping. Finals are just around the corner, so it is time for me to really buckle down. This means I will not be posting too much until Christmas.

Thanksgiving break

This one is just going to be a quicky.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR BREAK. Seriously Friday seems too far away. I cannot wait to see my family, or the food, but also to actually maybe possibly get a break from homework. (Some of my professors seem to be making this last bit impossible.)

At last

So remember how a week ago I thought I knew what classes I wanted to take? Yeah well, forget most of what I said then. But I actually think I have made my schedule for next semester. I fixed all the problems I had with it, and now I am genuinely excited about ALL of my classes. So as of now this is what it looks like:

(I will copy the course descriptions below the jump for those of you who are interested)

I would be taking 16/17 credits, which isn’t too bad, and only one Lit class which is perfect. Latin right now only has one scheduled meeting time, but there will be another 1 hr 30 min period sometime. We just need to find a time that works for us all.

Read the coarse descriptions after the jump (I think they all sound really cool –but then again I am a complete geek)

Well it is a start

I started this last year, but I have finally gotten around to it again. Last night I finished the mock up of it, now I have to refine it all a little. Basically redraw the whole thing but based on the frames I already have so that it doesn’t look so sketchy. I am actually really looking froward to it.

Enjoy.

Animation Update

I just read a blog post about the Walt Stanchfield books I mentioned in my other post.

They sound amazing, I just might have to get them.

I also found a really fun interactive timeline of animation. Check it out.
